Mutengene has welcomed many internally displaced families over the last few years. Naturally, rapid population growth has placed high pressure on land, water, and local employment, occasionally resulting in friction between local youth and displaced newcomers.nnTo bridge this gap, CRA organized the “Mutengene Cohesion Cup.” Over two weekends, eight local football and volleyball teams participated. Before each match, participants sat together under the peace tent for facilitated workshops, sharing their personal displacement and host stories, identifying common community needs, and pledging non-violence. The tournament culminated in a spectacular celebration at the Mutengene Community Ground, attended by local chiefs and over 600 cheering residents, reinforcing our message of unity.
